Token Faucet 101
We created the faucet so everyone can claim test tokens in order to try out our open beta. The faucet is located on our landing page (faucet icon) or can be accessed via the following url: https://www.helixmarkets.io/faucet
You are able to claim test tokens from three different networks - ETH, ICP and BTC. This carries some specifics on how these can be claimed. Below is a brief breakdown for each:
Ethereum/ ERC20 tokens:
1. Sign in to your Metamask account and switch it to the Goerli network
2. Make sure you have some Goerli testnet tokens in your wallet to pay for the network fees. If you do not have any Goerli ETH, please write us a message in our Discord channel and we'll send you some.
3. Go to the faucet and click on claim for the tokens you would like to receive. Confirm the transaction in your Metamask.
4. Once the transaction is finalized on the testnet the tokens will be in your Metamask wallet.
5. Deposit the tokens from your Metamask to your Helix account.
If you do not see the custom ERC20 tokens in your Metamask, you need to add them manually to your wallet (https://support.metamask.io/hc/en-us/articles/360015489031-How-to-display-tokens-in-MetaMask). Below are the token contract addresses:

ICP Tokens
1. Login to your Helix Markets account and head over to the faucet.
2. Press claim. Tokens will be automatically transferred to your Helix Funding Wallet
Please note that you can only claim the ICP tokens once every 24 hours.
BTC
Unfortunately, Testnet BTC is hard to come by, so there is only an external faucet availabile.
1. Click on Open or head over to https://coinfaucet.eu/en/btc-testnet/
2. Paste your Helix BTC deposit address and click Get bitcoins! button
3. Test BTC will arrive in your wallet after the transaction is mined
